GradeQuick for Windows 2.13 Upgrades

To upgrade GradeQuick:

  1. Install GradeQuick in the same location and do not uninstall the previous version.1 Make sure that the previous version of GradeQuick is not running or the installation will not succeed.
  2. Download GradeQuick.
  3. Save the executable file to your desktop.
  4. Double-click the executable file and follow the prompts to complete the installation.
  5. Make sure that you have an active Internet connection, so that custom files can be downloaded for your school. This is crucial if your school is using an interface between GradeQuick and your student information system, as the files needed for your interface will be downloaded at this time. Once the activation is complete, you will no longer need an Internet connection to run GradeQuick, but you will need an Internet connection to view GradeQuick user guides, or if you are using GradeQuick with Edline.
  6. Run GradeQuick. You will be asked to enter the School Name and Activation Key. These can be found in the same letter and email from Jackson Software that contained the software download links.
  7. Copy and paste the name and key into the dialog. If you are entering them by hand, they must be entered precisely as listed, and are case-sensitive.
  8. Click OK. GradeQuick will customize your installation by downloading files from the Internet.

1 If you have been using GradeQuick without importing rosters from a student information system but will now be importing rosters using LiveLink, or if you had previously used LiveLink with one student information system and are now switching to a different student information system, then you should reinstall all programs, beginning with GradeQuick, in a new directory rather than updating your existing installation.
